I have been an MSdos then window 3 - 11 user, so I'm very very new to Mint.
I have just done a HDD wipe and installed Mint 22.3
I have happily gotten all my applications and games working ok with the help of google, but I cannot for the life of me get Phasmophobia to work properly.
If I use the open source graphics driver that was installed when installing Mint, Phasmo's graphics are unplayable in game.
If I use the recommended proprietary drivers (NVIDIA), Phasmo has great graphics, but keeps freezing up, especially when leaving the menu.
I never get any error messages.
any ideas would be great, TIA

after it's done, restart and try the game

I still have GE-Proton 10-34 in the forced compatibility. Just leave that there ?

This appears to have fixed the problem thank you for your help.

I will test it a few more times, but it has not locked up yet, so thats a great sighn
