GPU not using in game. GPU 0% Use.

Did os installation 1st, then few days later I added this GPU. Is GT 730 4GB.
Also did

• sudo apt install nvidia-utils-470
• lspci | grep VGA (don't know this for what😅)
• nvidia-smi (showing it failed because, couldn't communicate with nvidia driver)

I'm not a tech savy Person but what i did to get it to work for me was to go to Nvidia panel click on prime profile and switch to performance mode
Just search Nvidia in your search and it'll pop up

In terminal type inxi -MGx; mokutil --sb-state and paste result here

Ok I think you need an older kernel to run the old nvidia drivers

not sure why Mint does not install the linux-generic metapackage for the GA kernel on Mint 22.2+. But yeah, solution is to install that package, boot into 6.8 and then purge all newer kernels and their respective metapackages
