I use English (US) for most of my typing, but also switch to Spanish (Windows) and Portuguese (Brasil). Whenever I am on Spanish or Portuguese, switching to another window causes Cinnamon to hang, and I have to switch to another TTY to restart it.

Additionally, I have Fcitx with Chinese, Korean and Japanese input methods installed, but those don't appear to affect the behavior.
This issue has persisted for a few versions of Mint. I can provide more info if needed.
