the little black line
Better example
these are my specs and im using proton GE 9-20
Lower your graphics settings
Maybe the GPU can't keep up
Or it's a Mesa bug
send output of inxi -Fmxxxz command
What about vanilla Proton?
Wellll long story short since intel is a bitch my components have zero fuckin driver support 🥲
So had to go back to windows until I get better parts
The graphics were always as low as it gets
The igpu not keeping up that’s a maybe
Mesa is also a maybe but no really
And for proton already tried both GE and vanilla but from what I found GE works a lil better
So ye after all the experimenting it’s a driver issue (which I don’t have any good support at all)
what are you talking about? Intel Raptor Lake has been out for quite a while, like 4 years. The architecture and driver support (i915/iris) is pretty mature at this point.
this may simply be a mesa3D bug if it's game graphics-related, RAM bandwidth being too small or saturated for the graphics setting, or hard power management rules
Also i missed the detail where you are using an external monitor. Did the game do the same on the built-in one?
Every test me and my friend ran always led us back to the drivers which I didn’t have
Ye you’d think I’d have good support but apparently no
Or maybe just specific intel chip
No only played the game on external
Intel heavily contributes its drivers directly to the kernel. All intel hardware already has basic drivers baked into the kernel, only media/VPL/levelZero drivers must be packaged by the distro
what device didn't have a driver?
the GPU?
Not entirely sure but I suppose highly likely since I’m getting issues like this
Even in white knuckle I been getting massive issues of it being sluggish even tho it’s rated platinum in protondb
So was nine sols as another example of it being sluggish
But I dead hear from another friend that ACU loves to do the graphical artifacts for whatever tf reason just doesn’t run well ig (for the record it’s rather gold so beats me)
platinum/gold/broze don't rate performance at all on protondb
they really just answer the question "does this game run at all? and is it playable?"
and distros that test the games vary too
you can try other distros if you like the linux vibe
same thing?
been using linux for a long time now just never really daily drivern it on my main system
no the game performance as fine just another issue thats being wifi issues cuz i been tryna use my cellular data/hotspot
my wifis too slow compared to my hotspot but more stable
hotspots faster but juts be forming network mountains on steam download window lmao (just going up and down constantly and sometimes even disconnecting) somehow apparently it was a fedora 43 issue since i experienced that on nobara and bazzite but then when i tried cachy same thing was happening then we came to the conclusion that it had something to do with KDE and how it handles networks
