i tried to install linux mint and i did so on my laptop but i when i restart it gets stuck in a "boot" loop also i check from a live usb ver of linux and the drive's os files are there but it wont boot and it doesn't show linux or something like that in boot mgr (on a old lenovo laptop)

Did you install along windows, or "erase disk and install" method?

just need to put off boot order lock in the bios
