When i use the "Dock" extension, my screen sometimes lags or goes black for a few seconds.

Yeah. It puts the dock in the middle too. And it's pretty customizable.

But while using it, the screen was lagging and going black for a few seconds.

i see. I can only surmise the extension itself is rather new and has a bug in it.

another option is use Plank dock. this is a standalone application. As is Cairo dock.
