Having an issue with Discord Notifications in Cinnamon 22.2, Basically I'm not getting any sound come through with Discord notifications.

They seem to work if I am sent a two messages in quick succession but if only one message is sent then nothing... When I look in "Sound" -> "Applications" whilst a notification is coming through "Chromium" appears then disappears after a few seconds. I am guessing the issue is the Chromium application not being running when the notification comes through, any ideas how to fix it?

I have tried both Flatpak and .Deb veraions of Discord.

Mint 22.2 Cinnamon
Cinnamon version 6.4.8
AMD R5 5700x3d
AMD RX 6800

maximize a terminal, run alsamixer

press F6 and pick the real soundcard

then look for auto-mute column, and disable it . pressing space key or enter on it should toggle.

unfortunately it's still doing the same thing, chromium pops up in applications but no sound... almost as though it too slow to catch the notification

it only pops up quick, that process is normal

Understood, the problem is it is missing the notifications or even when I hit mute mic in Discord it misses most of the sound?
