I just switched to Linux Mint. This is my first experience with the Linux operating system. I have an RTX 3060 and I have the problem I mentioned in the title.
With the xserver-xorg drivers, when I shut down, my computer freezes. However, with the nvidi-driver-580 driver, I can shut down without my computer freezing, but everything turns green.
#On my monitor it looks green, but when I take a screenshot there is no color problem.

Make sure secure boot is turned off in the BIOS settings
it causes problems with nvidia drivers
I have it disabled because when I installed Linux it wouldn't let me run the USB drive with Ventoy.
I reversed what you told me and it's working now, thank you so much!
One curious thing is that with safe mode enabled, I can't change my monitor's resolution and it doesn't turn green, but with safe mode turned off, it turns green and I can change the screen resolution.
with secure boot on, the nvidia driver never gets loaded. (unless you take distinct advanced steps to have it registered for secure boot)
thus, with secure boot on, and no other steps taken, your system boots up using the free nouveau driver, which has some limitations
