If your GPU drivers are up to date. Mess with the FPS settings. Just to see if it goes away. Swap it down to 30 fps. Disable DLSS.

Are you running AMD?

median bone
#

No

#

Would you like me to send system info

jaunty shoal
#

It says Mesa... You need AMD to utilize it properly.

median bone
#

isnt mesa for intel drivers also?

In general, running a CPU for games. Especially modern, 3d games is a bad idea. Lowering the resolution and frame rate will improve performance.

#

No. Mesa is AMD.

#

It's fine. It just won't do anything.

its running at a great 60fps

That's crazy for a CPU. Well, as I said above. You can lower the FPS and or resolution. Just to see if the flickering goes away.

#

fps lowest setting is 60

#

resolution didnt change anything sadly

#

i used the in game command line to set anti aliasing to off and that made it worse

#

so idk if its something to do with that

Visual errors are normal when run CPU, 3d graphics. Unfortunately.

You have a good setup. Is it possible to get a GPU in the future?

median bone
#

nah its a laptop

#

i mean i didnt buy it for gaming but the cpu is still very good

jaunty shoal
#

Ah.

#

Oh yeah. Mine can only run Star Craft 1 Remastered on the CPU.

median bone
#

yea the most recent generation of intel igpus

#

is like really good actually

Aside from lowering the settings. You are as good as you're going to get. You also have the most recent Kernel update.

median bone
#

are you sure its not mesa? even their website says its for intel drivers

Mesa does some things for games. Overall it's designed for AMD/ATI.

#

Mesa has been expanding open source. The bigger deal is Vulkan drivers. Which you have.

#

I'm not saying remove Mesa. I'm saying it's very limited in what it does on Nvidia and Intel. Still worth getting if you run a variety of games.

median bone
#

do you think updating it would help?

If I recall you're on the most recent versions. You can run a sudo apt update in your terminal.
