when I purged a package on mint it literally told me that gnome, xdg-desktop-portal, mint-meta-core, mint-mete-xfce, fuse3 will be removed I continued without knowing that so it removed all of the packages I mentioned, I installed it again, but xfce stopped running xfce-panel and xfwm4 so it looked like xfce wasn't working, so I removed all xfce4 files from the system and it worked again, so I was wondering how can I prevent the purging problem from happening again?

Whatever package you removed was a dependency for the other packages listed, that's why they were removed. Be careful when removing random packages
gnome? Why do you have gnome on Mint?
mint cinnamon uses some gnome packages, check for yourself
dpkg -l | grep gnome
i know, but the literal 'gnome' refers to the DE
