sd cards aren't gonna last long with OS cache writes every half second. plus it'll be slower than molasses

get either an external drive enclosure for SATA hdd or ssd, OR the enclosure for nvme drive

both use a USB interface. put proper drive in enclosure, then do a fresh install onto it, and move your data over.
