I've had experience with very old legacy hardware on Linux and it was bad

#

Is this a full installation?

#

Like, not from USB?

What performance do you expect from HD graphics 2500? It's ancient

feral plume
#

but at least i except the same performance both on windows and linux

#

because on windows everything went smother than linux

Also, what do you mean by "I'm on compatibility linux" ?

Can you tell us how many FPS you're getting

feral plume
#

on l4d2 it's just unplayable

#

and l4d2 it's native tho

Wouldn't use an EoL product

I'd say you should experiment with other distros

No more updates

You might have smoother experience with XFCE, but that won't affect games much: this gpu is ancient and drivers linux uses for it are for compatibility rather than speed

Debian XFCE though
