Nay idea how to fix this? My HP is connected to USB-C docking station with two external monitors works correctly on Linux Mint when the laptop lid is open. However, when the laptop lid is closed while the system experiences severe performance lag.

you're not even using the nvidia gpu

tender crown
#

Yes, my problem is with Intel GPU. I dont want to use Nvidia on normal use. PC gets so hot and laod with NVIDIA

hoary ermine
#

no no, like, you're not using the GPU in general. That's a waste of silicon

#

is it intended?

tender crown
#

But it shows that I'm usig intel here

hoary ermine
#

Do you not plan to use the Nvidia GPU at all?

PC is so slow even when I type right now it takes long time to type.

#

When I installed Mint it was working fine on intel gpu but suddenly it went black and had to hold the power button to restart it

#

Is it because mint is more for old devices?

hoary ermine
#

You have a recent kernel that fully supports your hardware, no.

#

Log out, click on the mountain icon, select "Cinnamon on Wayland" and log back in
