Hello, I'm on Linux Mint 22.2, and my issue is with my laptop's keyboard's lights

Expected Behavior:

The whole keyboard's lights to light up when typed, and turn off after a good bit of not typing

Actual Behavior:

The keyboard's lights don't turn on at all

Additional Information:

My laptop is a Nitro AN515-58
The keyboard's lights turn on when my laptop is turning on, but immediately turn off once the logo of Linux Mint appears
The toggleable keys' little white lights, such as Caps Lock, turn off and on correctly
I really can't even quite remember if it worked before, although it could be linked to me working around https://discord.com/channels/628978428019736619/1439386399869501501
I use https://github.com/Packss/Linux-NitroSense to control my fan speed, but it also has keyboard RGB control, however it is optional and i need a module for it, and I assumed it wouldn't do anything to the keyboard lights if I ignored it, which now that I think about it might just be the culprit, but still not that sure

Is keyboard backlight completely software controlled or is there a key combo to enable it?

#

Regardless, need output of dmesg -l warn+ | grep ACPI

consult manuals for your hardware before attempting software-based solutions on Linux
