after i open my laptop, the monitor will turn on and i can see my desktop but then the screen goes black or sometimes the windows will be all black. i have to right-click on my taskbar at least once to get my desktop back. i might even have to switch desktops a couple times.

is this a cinnamon bug or an nvidia bug? i'm running performance mode on my GPU right now, but the issue still happens on the intel iGPU too.

cpu: Intel Core i7-9750H
gpu1: Intel CoffeeLake-H GT2 [UHD Graphics 630]
gpu2: NVIDIA TU106M [GeForce RTX 2060 Mobile]

I think the issue might be the GPU drivers

can you open your driver manger and show me a screenshot of what it shows?

you can use the screenshot tool, that you can find in the mint/start menu

the driver manger is under administration in the mint/start menu

i don't want to go through the hassle of using an older driver. should i start an issue with nvidia?
