#Allocate More Space in SDD for Steam Games

Hey folks, quick query.

My Linux Mint installation partition is quite small and running out of space for games. I have another large sdd in NTFS with plenty of free space (Linux is NOT installed on this particular drive).

I want to use more space on that sdd for Steam games, but I have already experienced that Steam does not play nicely with NTFS and Mint.

Can I make a partition on the large sdd in a file system that is more compatible with Steam and Linux? If so, can someone please provide me with a guide/hints? Thanks!

shrink the partition that exists on sdd if there's ample unused space

#

you can use gparted for that.

#

Then make a new partition in the void space, label it when u create it with a simple name. Use BTRFS for maximum efficiency

#

use Disks app to take ownership of it after creating it if you chose to use gparted.
