I recently was able to get the mint hotspot somewhat working. Turns out the firewall was preventing it from working.
Is there a way of getting the hotspot to auto-enable on boot?

Or would it be better to use a 3rd party app like https://github.com/lakinduakash/linux-wifi-hotspot ?

from what I see, mint uses NetworkManager for its hotspot
