some BIOS support Wake-on-LAN, but you'd need the PC with ethernet wire, and then some complex stuff to communicate to it while it's off to boot it.
yeah it requires some BIOS support
okay lets say im on my laptop on the same network (ethernet on pc if that matters) how would i always make the PC accessible in the LAN so i can connect to it
your best option is to have a setup like mine without needing to use wake on lan and just keep your PC on 24/7
I have my workstation rig at home always running with RustDesk on it
and using RustDesk I can connect from any device to it (Sunshine + Moonlight if you want to do gaming)
Linux is pretty reliable at running for long periods of time (unless they cut off your power)
there is also an option for some hardware setups to "wake on power" or something similar available in BIOS/UEFI
