#How to remove non-existing files from start menu

I installed and uninstalled a program as flatpak twice, and then installed the appimage version of it. When I search for the name on the Start Menu, those non-existing files show up alongside the appimage. If i try to open them it tells me that "the file is no longer available". It also happened in another case, where I made a .desktop file for an app and when I search for it's name, the appimage also shows up, and its the same issue where it says it no longer exists. How do I remove them?

Also, possibly the reason for why the flatpak thing happened, I did "remove" them simply by selecting them and pressing the delete key and emptying the trash. Maybe I should have removed them in another way
