I put my password in the same way I have all the damn time and it just doesn't work anymoe
I looked up solutions and I can't find anything
did u switch keyboards out to a different language model?
also ensure cap-lock is not on.. and if need to use digits use only the numbers row
@stoic eagle
make friggin sure ur not capitalizing the first letter in the user name
I did none of this
every setting was exactly the same as when I last logged off, I made sure I typed it in EXACT
how do u mean 2 computers have been locked out?
did u just do two brand-spanking new fresh installs on two machines and then both result like this in pic?
maybe you inadvertently switched the land/state/region flag at the bottom right in the menu bar? it's not likely because the issue is on both machines.
or some one got your password and changed it?
I used this install for basically half the summer 😭
I'm starting to think it may have been smthn caused by upgrading Mint to the latest version
It couldn't have been that because I have my laptop on me at all times, if someone took it I'd know
well if u didnt make a timeshift snapshot before hand, that's on you
I DID have a Timeshift snapshot
I couldn't access it because I literally couldn't log in
ok so boot up the live usb stick with Mint on it, and restore from that environment
tell me you have been smart and kept a bootable live disk around
specifically labelled
bit late for that I already did the "dumbass giving up" move and reinstalled Mint altogether
