I moved a folder to a new location. I had a document from that deleted folder in Favorites. Now I am unable to remove that file from Favorites. I am able to add the document from the new location back to Favorites, but now I have the same file listed twice.
How do I remove the broken document link from Favorites.

#

if you mean the places section on left side of file manager, then right click the one giving trouble: edit

#

put the new path in.

Yes, that's the one. However, when I right-click on it, there is no edit option.

OK, yes, I did see that and it does allow the option to "Remove from favorites", but the broken shortcut I want to remove does not show in file manager. Only in the start menu/Favorites, and the Favorites icon in the taskbar, neither of which allows you to remove it.

the faves icon may be an applet

#

See APPLETS . find it. click the nearby edit icon

#

i still have no idea what you're talking about

#

take area screenshots using the screenshot tool and paste them into the Drawing app, and draw with red what you're trying to remove

Here is a marked up screenshot. You can see in File Manager that there is only one working Favorite for the spreadsheet in question. But in the toolbar list, the same file shows twice but from 2 different paths. The top one is valid, and the bottom one is invalid and does nothing when you click on it.

n see the result after re-log

if its a dead/ empty mountpoint, then delete it with root-power from within /mnt/
