Hi, I've been using Mint for a few years now, and have finally convinced some friends to come over. Thing is, they don't know much about tech, so I'll install it as a dual-boot with Windows. My question is, right now, is it better to manage the partitions in windows before installing mint, or during the Mint install process from the live USB?? I'm running only Mint on my laptop, so I haven't experienced it first hand

Does not matter, same thing.
OK, thanks, so it'll be easier during the install process then
you can just easily let the installer do it, as long as there's space. A decent partition size for linux on the low end would be 40 GiB.. on the better end, 150 GiB

and if the drive is Bitlockered, turn off and fully decrypt it. Else no dual-boot.
Disk Management app in Windows will clearly mention bitlocker if it's infact there.
