Kdenlive “Install missing dependencies” not working

I want to install vosk and srt for Kdenlive but when I press “Install missing dependencies”, it just sats its installing and then nothing happens and then the warning about them missing comes back.

I tried manually installing by using pip3 and a venv but it did not work. Please help.

are you compiling kdenlive from source?

there are pre-compiled packages on the ubuntu repositories

just sudo apt install kdenlive

if it's too old for you, use the flatpak
