My friend has an old 2013 gaming laptop and he recently installed Linux mint with my help and we have installed new recommended drivers, the kernal and all that stuff. We have secure boot disabled. The game PEAK runs then proceeds to crash at random points before getting past the title screen. Using mangohub shows a 0% graphics card usage but in this laptop he has integrated graphics and a separate internal graphics card. We do have proton enabled... When he was on windows 10 things worked fuine but now it's being a little silly. Thank you for taking the time to read this and we look forward to a response! Have a good evening/day/night

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M

might need to research that NVIDIA card by its exact model number, and which is the last Linux kernel to ever support it

it may be unsupportable on latest versions no matter what "Driver Manager" says

and u can verify what's what regarding kernal and graphics drivers using the inxi -SGxxx terminal command and reading it over well.

I looked into it and im reading that past a certain driver his GPU is not supported so ima downgrade and see what happens

~~stupid part is he just went afk for a bit 😭~~

It seems to have done something. His game is running way smoother than ever before but I still dont think his GPU is being used
