#Glitch > reset

Contextualizing, whenever I'm using the computer this glitch appears which forces me to reset. The problem is that it has become increasingly frequent (only today it was 5 times easily) and I don't know what it can be anymore, whether it is SSD or pulseaudio failing or ... I don't know
My mint is 21.3
My memory and swap fill very easy, especially when I am using many apps simultaneously
I can't tell if it's video card's failure too (I don't understand hardware much)
But I can. Your graphics card is failing.
I should know ... thanks for the info
Strands of false colours usually point to a failing memory chip.
Thank you, I will invest in a new
Sorry to bring bad news. Feel free to ask here when you find an offer, we can check if it's worth your money.
ok. Good to know that it is nothing involving software (I mean, system settings)
Unlikely. The pattern is consistent with a hardware failure. After reset, it cooled down a little, but once it heats back up, it glitches again.
If you want to rule out software, just liveboot a different distro and run some benchmarks.
Using many software simultaneously has to do with the graphics card fail?
No. Hardware degradation is a fact of life. How old is that graphics card?
I can't even say how
They gave me the used video card, but I don't know her age to this day
If the system is up, run inxi -Gxxxz, and I'll tell you how old it is.
This one looks good at me, I don't intend to buy a super video card too, but if there is a better price
Polaris is fine. There is a chance that a used card has been part of a mining rig, but they usually have quite a bit of life left in them anyway. If you can, compare to a new RX6600 - a bit more performance, less power draw. But probably quite a bit more expensive.
Yes, I will give a good research on all this.

That actually came out in the same year as the RX570. But the RX570 is a lot faster.
Yes, my video card is actually more cost-effective, that's what they told me too
