I have my pc to auto sign in on Linux so it's not sos but whenever my pc goes idol I have to fully turn it off and turn it on again because whenever I type in my password and log in it just has a black screen with my mouse on it. Any ideas on advice?

had this happen to me, complete reinstall fixed it. however, its happening again. idk what the cause is exactly, but i did change some dns settings (because my network also gets screwed each time i boot).
its not a cinnamon specific problem either, as ive tried openbox, and an even worse result

There was a regression issue like that with first-gen Ryzen APUs in kernel 6.8. It might be a good idea to switch kernels via Update Manager > View > Linux kernels and see if that solves it. Or if this happened after updating, try booting into the previous kernel version via Grub menu > Advanced options.
