#Is it possible to install Gnome and Cinnamon on Linux Mint while keeping separate profiles?

whether you use one user account or two, it should work either way. use the chooser circle in the login screen
I read on a blog that Cinnamon shares some dependencies with Gnome and that if I decide to uninstall Gnome at some point, it could break Cinnamon. Is this true? If this happens, is the solution as simple as reinstalling via TTY?
yep
or just make a timeshift snapshot right now, INCLUDING hidden home folder stuff in the preferences of timeshift
then u can just restore back to it.
(delete all your browser caches for space savings on that backup)
Bleachbit helps.
you can also comment the snapshot so u know in future.
since it's a manually invoked one, it wont get overwritten by scheduled timeshift saves
So it's something simple?
