After installation was complete I restarted my pc, and was met with a blue screen with the option continue boot. After clicking on enter I end up here.

So I wasn’t able to go back to the blue screen but I did reboot mint using a different drive, this time using ventoy, and it somehow worked.

If you used ventoy, your in live session. Did you reinstall the system? Does it boot now without usb?

I didn’t reinstall it, just turned it off and turned it on and somehow it worked. Etcher bugged out my flash drive so I used ventoy and in case I got an error when restarting the computer I kept the bootable usb plugged in

you can leave the bootable usb plugged in, just ensure it's not the first in boot order, if you expect to ever reach the installed OS
