i usually switch to another distro because of this issue, hate this when this happens

Is it an Nvidia one?

yeah it crashes more on GT 710 but less on HD 3000 now the one i have

Cinnamon is hard to crash on it's own. Most of the time it is problem with desklet, extension or applet. Which one you have installed and/or active?

Sorry was triggering "sex" for "s/Ex" for some reason, working on a fix.

What Applets/Desklets/Extension do you have installed and active? Cinnamon is very hard to crash on its own, 99% cases it is bug/conflict between custom content such as mentioned addons

gsettings reset-recursively org.cinnamon

cinnamon --replace

cinnamon --reset
