I have this old laptop (Toshiba Satellite M300) with Intel 4965AGN, 4GB DDR2-666, and a 160 GB hard drive. Is there anything I need to change with this setup, and will it be enough for school? (google docs/slides, light video editing, youtube, light python and c++ coding)

Hi xever! I believe it should be able to run Mint Xfce. I encourage you to check it in a live environment 😄

Video editing and programming may be a little itty bit tough though, I'd say.

It's a pretty old machine so I suggest you manage your expectations properly.

It should run a web browser, and maybe a good code editor (definitely can run the super light ones that are basically a notepad)
