I came from kde neon after i tried to install virtualbox and trying to run it would display error message. Then almost every app refused to open, restarted my laptop just to see a black screen with a cursor, meaning kde neon was bricked.

I want to install linux mint and get rid of my previous kde neon installation. However when i try to install it ,fails with error 5, input/output error. I used etchdroid to burn the iso to a sd card, which then i put the sd card into a usb adapter and the live desktop is working fine. What should i do next? I can't check for sha256 cause im on the smartphone and idk how do i do that. I tried using all the usb ports but the type c port. Still getting the error.

Pc: hp laptop 14-em0007nq, amd ryzen 5 7600u, radeon graphics, 8 gb ddr5 ram, 512gb of ssd storage.

if it's one of those SD card readers that are shaped like a thumb-drive and hold a micro-SD, those are ABSOLUTE garbage.

#

use a better real USB stick, and a decent brand name at that.

#

if you don't have another working computer to set up a live installer, then you'll need a USB on-the-go cable (OTG) with a TYPE-A female socket at its end to accept a standard type-A male USB drive

and give plenty of time to rest after it flashes over before doing anything. and always safe-eject from the phone's settings before pulling it out

I forgot to bring my pen drives. I am in the vacantion and i left the pen drives at home.

I used this sd card reader, Live desktop works fine.

With a samsung 64gb micro sd card.

If i cant check for sha256, maybe should i try different mirrors for the good iso file?
