So after trying to get my modding setup to work and failing. I'm going with another suggestion I've seen which is to just use a VM. I have the VirtualBox installed but whenever I try to install the Windows 10 iso I downloaded it fails either saying can't mount the iso or doesn't recognize the product key. What am I doing wrong?

open your Mint settings. go to USERs/GROUPS
edit your user to be part of the vboxusers group
also checksum the windows ISO, if their website provides one
Ok. So far I tried again and so far it's installing in the VM by using skip unattended install. And telling the popup "I don't have a product key". What will need to be done after?
Mainly what I'm trying to get out of this whole ordeal is setup a virtual machine that can run my steam games with modding.
yes you can use Windows without activation (product key), it'll just have a watermark text on the desktop, but that's nothing
Ok. Right now the VM is just taking it's sweet time trying to where I can use it and start getting steam and modding set up.
Ok. Working on getting the VM updates done. Only thing irking me is the screen. It looks weird. I’m not sure how to get the screen looking proper.
I can fullscreen but the screen looks stretched.
so go into Windows settings and adjust the display resolution to match your monitor's aspect ratio
