#Update Manager Not Finding Things To Update (Calibre)

I have a very large ebook library, and have used Calibre for ages to manage it. I made sure to export my library and backed it up. After installing Mint, I downloaded Calibre from the Software Manager, but it seems to be a few editions behind and thus won't import my recently-exported-from-a-newer-version library. This wouldn't be a problem, except I can't get it to update through the update manager, nor does there seem to be a way to do so from within Calibre itself like in Windows.

There is a way to install Calibre on Linux via terminal, but should I delete the existing Calibre version I have before doing so? Or am I missing an obvious way to update it as is?
