Hello, I'm new to Linux and recently installed Linux Mint 22.1 XFCE on an old notebook. At first, Wi-Fi works — it finds networks and connects normally.

But after a few minutes, the connection drops. When that happens, the computer doesn't detect any Wi-Fi networks at all.

Sometimes, if I restart the computer, it starts working again and networks appear. But then the Wi-Fi disconnects again after a while, and networks disappear once more.

Wired internet works fine.

Might want to get a USB wifi device, the one you have uses a kernel driver that has a lot of issues

Ah, that's a shame... I guess I’ll have to buy it then. Thanks for the help tho, I really appreciate it!
