So, computer broke, I decided to get out my old computer which is a dell optiplex prebuilt while waiting for the parts for my main computer, I figured, I don't have that much on the PC, even if something goes wrong with my first time installing Linux, should be fine to lose my data.

Anyways, windows 10 was installed, I installed Linux Mint Cinnamon, kept windows 10, and, was working great for the most part, tried a few games, didn't really work and protonDB was no help, but that's a separate thing.

I restarted so that I could go over to windows to access the games and some files over on windows, it pulled up Linux Mint immediately for some reason, so I restarted it again, kind of spammed the F buttons to see which one affects the boot, and, eventually got a screen that let me choose what to boot. Booted Windows, went about my day, shut off.

This morning, same thing, turning the computer on immediately went to Linux Mint, wanted something on windows, so I tried the same thing where I restarted and pressed F12 buttons on both the bios and Linux boot screen, and I just couldn't get the same option - dell's bios only let me select which drive to boot from, without a way to select a partition, and it was weird, since it gave me a screen that let me select yesterday.

Anyways, looked around online for ideas, saw that the menu was likely from GRUB, and figured, I'd install it in case it overwritten by windows or something.

Install, reboot to try again, grub command line comes up instead of that grub menu I saw. Weird, look around online for solutions, I've found a few things, I apparently have 4 partitions, and trying to boot Windows with chainload brings up the install menu instead of the OS, and I can't seem to access Linux on any partition, I also tried exiting, but instead of bringing up the GRUB menu, it brought up Dell's weird boot drive selection screen.

Anyways, I'm currently stuck in the grub command line with no idea how to boot either OS, and my first time installing and using Linux was yesterday.
