Might want to try switching mirrors anyways to see if it fixes the problem
I've tried a few other mirrors and they all gave errors too

Go into Software sources program and disable the additional repository for klog as it likely isn't going to work in Mint Xia
that just fixed the first error, but I don't think I should go through and disable updates for basically every software I use.
Might be best to disable all those additional repos as apt.kitware.com/ubuntu would not have xia involved, but noble
Might need to edit out anything about i386 in those additional repos
winehq is already disabled so idk why it's still throwing an error
how do I do that?
Look at the file names from #1389355902804693013 message and then check each one in a text editor
so does this mean if I want to use klogg I have to compile it from source?
You might unless they have a repo for Ubuntu Noble
what am I looking for? There is no mention of i386
There is in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/amdgpu.list and /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq-noble.sources
so I just edit the file from
deb [arch=amd64,i386 signed-by=/etc/apt/keyrings/rocm.gpg] https://repo.radeon.com/amdgpu/6.3.2/ubuntu noble main
to
deb [arch=amd64 signed-by=/etc/apt/keyrings/rocm.gpg] https://repo.radeon.com/amdgpu/6.3.2/ubuntu noble main
???
That should work
The more I use Linux, the more I see why normies use Windows. They don't have to deal with all their packages breaking out of nowhere among other issues.
Why is there 2 LLVM repos? Should I disable one? the xia or the noble?
And even as a tech savy person myself, I don't understand why packages just break on their own and how to fix them.
Disable the xia one, it isn't valid
well it still says it has an error, but it won't tell me what it is
Go to the terminal and type
sudo apt update
show us the result please
idk why it's still mentioning i386 because I deleted the i386 from the .list files
also still mentioning winehq even though it's disabled
but I want my wine installation to get updates so idk why it was disabled by default
Ok, next go to software sources maintenance tab, there should be a button about fixing missing keys, try that
Ok, then temporarily remove wine repository from PPA or additional sources tab, and try
sudo apt update
again, see if that fixes the problem
Ok, then add the repository properly as instructed here https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/wikis/Debian-Ubuntu
Including the key
well apt made me run apt --fix-broken install but now everything seems fixed
thanks!
not again!
help. what does it mean?
