suspend wakes up immediately

using either the terminal or the menu, once suspend activates it wakes back up 2 seconds later.
im using nvidia card, and newest driver... i guess i need to rollback? or is there a known fix?
OS: LMDE 6 (faye) x86_64 Kernel: 6.1.0-17-amd64

everything was working a couple weeks ago, so not sure what update broke it....

would disabling the pice card and testing with the igpu help narrow things down?

but doing a systemctl suspend i get a

failed to suspend async: error -5```
