I have a Legion 5 laptop and brightness controls, scaling and night light do not seem to work when i switch off hybrid mode and use my NVDIA DGPU exclusively.

If i switch on hybrid mode with graphics pass through through my AMD IGPU , brightness controls, night light and display scaling all work.

My nvdia driver version:
nvidia-driver-570-open

Version 570.133.07-Oubuntu0.24.04.1
NVIDIA driver (open kernel) metapackage

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H with Radeon Graphics (12) @ 3.000GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile / Max-Q

any fixes or do i have to make custom script to change brightness while i am on the dgpu

Expected, nvidia is just that shit.

I switched to fedora and the brightness controls on both my dgpu and igpu work.

I think it might be an issue with the kernel that mint uses being older probably
