Switching

Hi all. Im on mint and when trying to switch from CInamon to KDE which worked fine on my vm, has failed and has aten up literally all of my storage.

or use Feren OS.

thanks for the help. I ended up just doing a fresh mint reinstall, probably needed it. CInamon is nice enough atleast

i mean if your available do you know hwy my folders are greyed out?
im pretty sure my permissions are setup correctly. Same on my USB stick aswell

uhh they were coloured initally and then when i wiped my usb drive because it had chrome os (dont ask why) that happened

a restart fixed it actually

maybe just something weird happened

check with DISKS app to see the filesystem of your usb.

it should likely be a universal filesystem like FAT or exFAT which doesn't even take/use permissions

or atleast

oh in that case, make sure u take ownership of usb stick

dont take ownership of ANY drive that boots an OS

my main drive has the os installed and my usb i have some random stuff on
