#can't seem to install vmware workstation properly

I get two error messages something with the kernel module but it doesn't seem to want to proceed

What vmware version are you using?

it is possible to trigger just builing the kernel modules

I believ ethe command would be sudo vmware-modconfig --console --install-all

basically ensure headers are installed, update everything else, and then run that command

its entirely possible it failed to install because it lacked the permission to do so

If they fail now, they will fail at rebuild anyway.

@shy wigeon if you need something for virtualization in linux use virt-manager or virtualbox.
