#Errors and trouble shutting down

I installed a fresh install of linux mint on my new M2 SSD and I now have a bunch of strange errors and problems. When I shut down my PC it seems to shut down way too quick as if it has lost power, making an awful noise. I used this command to look at the logs and found these errors. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

How did you shut down your PC? With the shutdown menu or with the power button?

#

What happened right before you shut down and what errors have you experienced since you restarted it?

I shut down the PC by using the shut down button inside the UI of the operating system (shut down menu) and when shutting down sometimes an error can be seen but it goes by so quick.

#

I reinstalled the whole system and it seems to be better now but I kept this open because I'm just curious what happened. I still have some of the errors present in that message.

might have been a tiny error in the ISO perhaps? i noticed it showed a casper checksum error in that log

some core thing may not have installed perfectly

  • typical "shut down" process: apps close/disappear from desktop, you hear the Mint logoff sound, screen goes black with one line of terminal text at top saying something about ending session in TTY1.. perhaps some superfast text of 'preparing to shutdown' then it blacks out, soundcard may make a pop thru speakers as voltage drops suddently, and PC stops, goes to full power-off state.

That might be it, I had some strange issues installing the first time around on windows 11. the second time around I wrote the iso onto a USB using mint and after that it worked okay so perhaps. I still have these errors though:
