Description
When booting or powering off the system (Mint 22.1 Cinnamon), a mainly white screen of what seems to be a visual glitch occurs. This happens almost any time I boot up/power off, and has been happening since the very 1st boot

Steps to reproduce

  1. Boot uo the computer
  2. Select Linux Mint OS
  3. The white screen often shows up once
  4. The OS boots normally

Expected/Actual Behaviour
Well, I would normally not expect such a white screen to show up on booting or closing down a system, but it is actually there, which I suppose should not be.

Additional info
OS: Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon (64bits) - Dual booting with Windows 11
Cinnamon version: 6.4.8
Kernel Linux: 6.8.0-60-generic
Processor: 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12400 × 6
Graphic Card: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 Ti, with the suggested proprietary driver used (nvidia-driver-570, with v.570.133.07)

I will also attach 2 example videos of what happens whenever I boot up/Power off the PC, for a visual demonstration; also, sorry if any detail or anything else is missing, I'm still kind of new to Linux! If more system info are needed, I'll be glad to give them

P.S.: While just powering off again, the screen looked much worse this time. Hope this is not the case of some sort of file corruption

quick field
#

check if cord is connected really well at both ends, if it is a separate monitor

#

I've seen that grey fuzz once

#

the white isn't normal

if you look at the manufacturer's website in support/downloads, u may get a new BIOS/Firmware update. hopefully it can be done direct from usb (q-flash port on back) or through the existing bios menu
