My windows partition is 300 gigabytes or so. In fact, my SSD is only around 500 gigabytes. But when I try to copy and paste my windows partition to my usb it says it's nearly a whole terabyte somehow? i'm so confused

what are you trying to actually do?

might first want to run ValiDrive on that usb drive , it is a windows program for testing flash memory

ok i found out it's this documents and settings link folder that's somehow 600 gigabytes without using up any actual space

then you must run chkdsk c: /f on that drive from Windows admin command prompt. replace "c:" with the exact drive letter it really is, if needed
