I just downloaded the zoom client for desktop on linux and was using it and wasnt the best experience and laptop was heating up but I didnt see my fan running, I see it atleast occassionly running when I was on windows if it did heat up significantly. Moreover I am suprised its heating up in linux for that matter. Could someone suggest what can be done about it ?

See if you can control it with fancontrol or some vendor-specific implementations. Other than that, I'd probably go ahead and set up Coolero.
Fan control is pretty spotty as they come and go. Almost all of the time, the fans are controlled by the BIOS, see if you have the option to deal with it there.
what's fancontrol, it looks like its some software for windows. Too much stuff, should I boot into BIOS and check for fan like that?? sorry if I dont get it properly
apt search fancontrol
:~$ apt search fancontrol p fancontrol - utility to control the fan speed
okk does coolero do the same thing, monitoring and controlling?
