Hey there, please run
sudo apt update
sudo apt install steam
in the terminal, and screenshot the results
Ok, please run
sudo apt install -f
Alright, this one next
apt policy libllvm19:i386
Ok, and just to check, type
dpkg --print-foreign-architectures
nothing happened?
It says i386 at the bottom, which is good.
Now please screenshot "software sources" window, ppas and additional sources tabs
Ok, in the additional repositories, uncheck the llvm one, and press the green button that'll appear at the bottom.
after that, go to the terminal and try
sudo apt install steam
again
Did you uncheck the llvm source?
its unchecked and i updated cache
Interesting.... Let's try
sudo apt clean
sudo apt update
ok, now
sudo apt install steam
does
apt showhold
show anything?
shows nothing
Let's try installing libllvm19 ourselves then
sudo apt install libllvm19:i386
Click remove foreign packages - show me the list
Ok, close this window and show me "Downgrade foreign packages" list
click select all and click downgrade
ok did that
No errors?
no errors
Ok let's try
sudo apt install steam
again

ill test the installer and if nothing else comes up i should be good
thank you
