The default behaviour when I drag and drop a file is:
I would like to change this so even when the destination is a different drive the default action remains a "move". I am aware that I can force this by holding down [Shit] at the same time, but since I'm moving >90% of the time I'd like to avoid having to press that extra button.

oo, that sounded promising, but didnt work for me, still does copy

it should have shown a context menu appear once you release the centerclick at the drop point
unless perms for the source file were such that it cannot be cut or deleted
