Setting up a profile for a younger user

I'm gonna make a user profile to seperate mine and my younger sister's stuff, are there any utility programs i should be aware of? things to make usage easier specifically.

not really. if using cinnamon, u can add desklets and/or applets for fun

if u want to keep ur own files private, then right click ur user folder, within /home and properties: permissions, so other users (third thing) have 'no access'

and click apply to all contained
