Maybe the repositories were down? Does it resolved?

#

ping google.com should show if you have internet and the dns is working properly?

#

Wait. Can you show a picture of software sources app? What does it show?

#

@woeful flicker @gleaming geyser

#

you have messed up your software sources and should fix them before updating

fierce crown
#

#

You have entered incorrect information into your software sources GUI of via a command

#

You can use the software sources GUI to remove the erroneous source optionally replacing it with the correct one which you can look up online

Usually a non release file means some repo isnt compatible with the current exact version of the OS you use

#

share your inxi -Sr result

#

nvm see it

#

ur main base is a repo

#

there's no need for it to also be in Additional Repositories

#

some carryover from Wima (mint 22) perhaps, idk

#

remove it.

#

Notably the zero dollars you pay for open source means no paid support either just fellow users offering advice whilst living their normal lives

#

Notably Spotify isn't an official repository. The software sources GUI justs lists anything you add either by running a command editing the text configuration or in the GUI

#

Most likely you ran a command that you found on the Internet that added a repository and it automatically added the name of the release to the configuration

#

This would work in Ubuntu but in Mint you get an erroneous xia in that repository configuration

#

Instead it should say noble

#

The sources config needs to know what version of the packages to pull. It should pull the Noble aka Ubuntu 24.04 version because mint 22 mint is based on that

#

They don't have a special xia version because mint is just Ubuntu

fierce crown
#

So I should simply remove the Ubuntu repository in additional repositories?

No you should just make sure the repo that is erroing out is correct
