The 3 buttons on the top right of a standard Mint window (minimize, maximize, close)

I have my scaling set to 100%. I tried fractional scaling, but couldn't deal with the screen tearing. Changing the window title font size does not change the button size.

AFAIK you can't do this on Cinnamon. But if you will find a solution, tag me please 😉

quite sure you cannot alter it.

you can try putting the Plasma (KDE) desktop environment onto Mint if you really need the feature. I'm aware they have sizable window titlebars/buttons. (they call the setting Window decorations)
