The colors on my screen appear very washed out compared to my other systems windows. For example, orange is looking like a dark brown.
How can I fix this?
I have tried looking up the "Colours" APP and changing one RGB option to another (eg. from Beta RGB to Bruce RGB), but it changes nothing.
I will include my inxi -Fxxxrz output in the following post due to character limits.

Is this relevant?I tried running this command in terminal, which I thought would have increased saturation by 50%

maybe check 'colour profiles' in settings. Pick some industry-standard one, or get an icc profile file online somehow for your monitor.
This seems to be the advice through most of the thread, including the Github link?
However as you can see it's active but the issue is not resolved (and in fact, most color profiles except Blue, do not do anything to change my colors)

maybe your monitor manufacturer has a very specific colour profile you can download for it

i have my screen side by side with my other laptop as well as my phone.
Messing with an image in GIMP: I need to alter my screen hue by -10 and saturation by +60
the colors are so bad it is practically unusable like this. And as an artist, I REALLY Need my colors to be accurate.
If anyone figures out a solution, please let me know
however i am positive changing the color profile had no change, UNLESS restarting was a necessary part of it. In which, didn't seem to help
most google results appear related to color temperature.
Whereas this is specifically an issue beyond that
ok im realizing this color profiles selector will change image color whenever i use image viewer. So it doesnt actually change my screen, it changes new windows...
i'm looking for something more saturated if anyone has recommendations
all i have tried is still desaturated. But artifex SRGB was best. But not good enough
B173HAN04.9 seems better than artifex but still not good 🤔

try in APPLETS, get the 'Gamma' applet. you can adjust tiny bits of rgb
